Fall Farm Tours & Field Trips.

Time frame: Morning Tour 9:30am-11:30am, Afternoon Tour Noon-2:00pm

$9/ student.$7/ guest, parent, siblings ages 3 and up (2 years old and under are free)

No charge- teachers & bus drivers.Minimum of 40 students required to book and hold your trip.

For  groups over 40, the remaining balance can be collected on the tour  date. We can accommodate larger class sizes up to 200, but please let us  know those details when booking. When you book your trip, it will ask  you to estimate the number of students, additional guests, and teachers  attending. If you have any questions or concerns while booking, please  text 325-370-5159. If your school requires invoicing and paying by  check, please look at available dates on the square booking page and  then contact us directly and we will prepare you an invoice for the  requested date. If you do not have 40 students, but still wish to book,  that is perfectly fine. It will increase your cost per child, but we do  not mind accommodating smaller groups as well.

*HOMESCHOOL  DAYS* These days are reserved for homeschoolers and you will sign up  each individual child when booking, not a group as a whole. Parents, you  will sign up as a parent, not a teacher in this scenario. If you are a  homeschool group leader, please select the total number of kiddos you  are signing up on behalf of.

Your tour will begin in the field with an  immersive learning experience about the current crops we are harvesting,  planting, and tending to. We base the information on the age group of  the students attending. We do have educational handouts we can email you  ahead of time on the lifecycle of a pumpkin or pollinators  (bees/ladybugs) if you want to incorporate that into your class  curriculum. Next, we will take them to the petting zoo area and go over a  few details and information regarding the farm animals we have here and  their purpose/role on the farm. The kids will be able to pet and see  them up close. We will also take your group on a fun hayride through our  "haunted woods" trail. Along the way, there will be time for photos  with some of our fun spring photo opp areas. Each group gets a little  free-time to play in the obstacle course, slide, sand pit, swings, &  mini maze to burn off some energy! By 11:00, it will be lunch time and  your kiddos can bring their sack lunches to picnic in the seating area  outside of the farm store. We have restrooms for them to wash their  hands before eating. Depending on the class size, we may divide into  smaller groups and rotate through the above mentioned activities so that  each group is small enough to listen and engage with our staff. The  afternoon tour will include all the same activities, but in reverse- we  will start with lunch upon arrival. We have homemade ice cream that we  can add on to your group's tour if you would like for only $2.50/kiddo.  Pumpkin Spice or Chocolate is what we will have available in the fall!

Again-Parents  and siblings who decide to accompany the group will be $7 and can be  collected separately at the beginning of the tour as they arrive. There  is no parking fee. We will have snacks and drinks as well as shopping  available in the farm store for parents and guests, but the full farm  store kitchen and ice cream machines will not be open on field trip  days.

Field Trips may be cancelled 14 days or more  prior to your field trip date with no penalty. If you fail to cancel 14  days prior, you agree to pay in full for your field trip. If you are a  no show for your reserved field trip, the deposit will not be refunded.  Exceptions can be made for cancellations due to inclement weather. We  will try to work with you to reschedule if we deem the weather is not  conducive to having a field trip that day. If we are unable to  reschedule, then the deposit may be refunded

Food & Drink during field trips

School groups are encouraged to bring their own sack lunches for a picnic at tables outside near the farm store or under covered patio at the event venue. You’re also welcome to bring blankets and have a picnic out on the grassy area! We will have the farm store open with a variety of snacks, treats, and drinks, but the full kitchen and ice cream machines WILL NOT be open.

Teachers- Helpful TIPS

1.)  Remind Students to Dress appropriately, and remember to be mindful of the weather. Socks and close-toed shoes are always strongly recommended.

2.) Consolidate lunches in labeled boxes and/or wheeled coolers. All lunches will be stored inside the gated entrance area where you may retrieve them at the time of  your scheduled lunch.

3.) On warmer days, the students may get thirsty as they play before lunch starts. We recommend bringing a separate cooler to hold drinks that they can access prior to lunch. We do not have water fountains available at the farm.

4.) Message us for printouts of strawberry life cycle or bee pollination if you wish to tie the field trip into a class lesson before, during, or after the trip.

5.) Please plan to arrive and leave on time. Our staff is busy prepping for your group prior to your arrival, so arriving too early makes it difficult to have everything ready for your students. Leaving too late may cut into the next field trip group's time and hinders staff from cleaning up after your group.
